Question of the Day

What does it take for you to do something extraordinary?

Image of the Day: What does this image mean to you

This is the image of the day.

What are the thoughts that come to your mind as you observe this image?. Include them inthe comments

My Thoughts:

Gravity is absolute truth for that drop of water and it knows it has to take that into consideration for its existence. Its leveraging the surface of that leaf to stay intact. Its reflecting on everything that is around it. Its the reflection of everything that is around it, its the lens to the system around that leaf.

Culture

We dont create culture. It happens over time. Consistent behaviour transforms into culture.
If you encourage and reward an activity, it becomes a culture. For example, If we encourage people to share and give them the freedom and tools to share effectively, Sharing will be built into the culture.

Due to that reason, this whole program of breeding leadership has to evolve as it goes. We all know what Our Vision is. How we will achieve that Vision should not be , could not be dictated now at this point of time. If it is dictated now, it is bound to fail. Lets give it time to breathe, mature , grow and evolve based on action, reaction and truth.

As I am speaking this, if the first project is visual thinking (image based thoughts) that leads to innovation, second project should be Questions. A different question every day, just like visual thinking an image every day. A question every day helping you realize and discover and knowing about one self. Its a journey by itslf that we will be amazed to know.

Program Charter --- to create 100's and 1000's of leaders

  • 1st Project -- Visual Thinking to hep in innovation
  • 2nd Project -- Questions to help know oneself

Let me know what you think as the projects or subjects so to speak.

As I say this, think of it this way.

  • Vision is to fly.
  • Means to do that is a Program to build an aeroplane.
  • Projects in that are - learning mathmatics, Physics , Chemistry etc

What does this Image Mean to you

I would like to add one picture every day. Please write what your innovative mind thinks of this image. What are the thoughts that come to your mind as you see this. Include them in comments.

My thoughts:

  • A strong relationship is one, when one fill in for someone's needs.
  • A friend in need is a friend in deed.
  • If you can develop and hone the skills the customer is lacking, relationship remains strong.
  • Symbiotic relationship

Modern Art

Modern art - delves on the concept that Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Idea lies in the mind of the behloder that needs to be brought to life. Isn't that what the beautiful mind was all about. He was visualizing patterns and innovating.

Yes Thought is faster than light, but we have been historically using light to ignite that thought. For example : we use idols of god, photos of people to think of someone.

5-10 minutes of a subject per day goes a long way.
How about we post a picture and people write in comments on what is that thought that's in their mind. That way we can keep on igniting their innovative skills, that will help them forget copy and paste..live on their own breath.

Change Leadership

This year - all news on TV is about Change..why are leaders talking about change..and how does that potray leadership? What do I take from it?

“A key to successful change is communication and recognition. Assuming that employees have pride in the organization and want to see it succeed, change can be continually implemented. Most successful change involves people at multiple levels being involved in the planning and communication process. ”

The benefits of the change should be measured and shared along with the recognition of people and groups who have done the most to achieve the results.”

Four rules of influence

Living a Life of Undivided Integrity. Notwithstanding that integrity is in fact being undivided, he writes that while leaders do make mistakes, followers “do expect their leaders to admit and correct their mistakes, mend the cracks in their integrity, if you will. Left unchecked, eventually a lack of integrity erodes the trust that is needed between a leader and a follower.”
Always Demonstrate a Positive Attitude. People respond to optimism. Bad things happen. And when they do, you need to ask not “Why did this happen to me?” but “What’s next?” or “What good can come from this?” “You are choosing to believe that something good can come from negative circumstances and that the future will be better than the present.”
Consider Other People’s Interests as More Important Than Your Own. “Even more important than being interesting, is being interested.”
Don’t Settle For Anything Less Than Excellence. Grow our influence by improving ourselves around seven areas of excellence: physical appearance, emotional health, intellectual growth, spiritual depth, relationships, financial success, and charitable giving. Excellence is in the details.

People Process technology being the vectors of interest

we invest in people -- they will inturn ensure that they take care of process and technology

What would it would have taken Napoleon to convince/persuade/motivate his short 40,000 or 50,000 men to become so strong to take over Huge armies.

What is the art of war --- how do we motivate and harness dedication, loyality and go out to do the extraordinary

Tactical way of entering an engagement --- look and seek what keeps the customer awake at night...understand his improvement opportunities and supplement them..instead of potraying what your skillsets are..potray what he seeks.
